Doodles, spaniels and coated breeds
A curly coat and a feathered spaniel coat want two completely different things, and the fastest way to find out whether a groomer knows yours is to look at what they have already been cutting.
Why bring it here
Judge it on the pictures, not the wording
Every photograph on this site is a dog that came out of this salon. Most of them are doodle-type curly coats and spaniels, which is what turns up week in week out around Stapleford.
Curly coats grow into trouble quietly
A cockapoo coat matts at the armpits and behind the ears long before it looks untidy from across the room. Bring yours in and you get told what the coat is doing, not just a number on the clipper.
Spaniel ears and feathering are scissor work
There is a reason spaniel photographs look different from the clipper-work ones. Ears, feathering and feet are done with scissors, and it shows in the shape when it is done properly.
